Apart from being the largest planned city of the world, Navi Mumbai offers some of the delicious street foods that are still not known to many. One of those unexplored areas is Kharghar. If you happen to be around Kharghar, here are some of the street foods we recommend.
Utsav Chowk Fast Food Corner
To all the Momo lovers, save this place in your list. Frequented by a lot of students, Utsav serves momos and desi chinese at really affordable prices. Try their dry manchurian (50 INR) and famous Veg Momos (30 INR). Momos have a generous filling of carrots and cabbage served with peanut chutney.

Goli Vada Pav
This chain of vada pav in Mumbai is quite popular among travellers. People travelling by local trains grab a vada pav before boarding their trains. There are many branches and we happened to eat one when we were in Kharghar. Simple aloo tiki between bread along with ketchup.

Try the chatni sada dosa At Dosa Expert. It is simple and crispy dosa served with Sambhar and coconut chutney. One thing that we absolutely loved in the dosa is the play of flavours by putting both peanut and coriander mint chutney.
Tip: Want to try something spicy? Try their spicy Schezwaan Chatni Dosa.

When we were passing by Crystal Plaza, we saw a bunch of people gathering around Sai Balaji. We decided to give it a try. The guy was serving aloo tikki chaat in generous quantities. We loved the preparation process. The aloo tiki was first cooked to the perfection and was then topped with beetroot, carrot, radga (chickpea), chaat masala, tamarind syrup, mint chutney and sev. It’s as colourful and flavourful as it sounds like.

This one came as a surprise. How often do you get a traditional Bihar food in one of the lanes of Navi Mumbai? We found this tiny joint serving piping hot Litti Chokha. Litti is the stuffed wheat dough ball while chokha is a mixture of mashed potato, tomato, and eggplant(baingan). It is quite a healthy dish, served with mint chatni at Apple Mint.

After trying a variety of options, we were exhausted and thought of having a quick drink. We went to Natural Tea to grab some tea. It had surprisingly many options like Lemon Grass Tea, Green Tea, Masala Tea, etc. We had Honey Lemon Tea (10 INR).
All the places mentioned in the blog are in Hiranandani Crystal Plaza except Utsav.
